Paolo Playo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victoriano Hats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Playo in the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Paolo Playo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chacabuco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

Victoriano Hats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Playo, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Flor in the 61st minute of play forced Chacabuco's goalkeeper Alfredo Aznaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Aznaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 70 minutes, Christian Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibarreta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Hats was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 76th minute Christian Hats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Aznaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Tebaldo during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 83 minutes into the game, one of Chacabuco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ibarreta's Victoriano Hats proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Ibarreta from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Chacabuco booed when Ibarreta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Presebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paolo Playo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99th minute, Arnulfo Flor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibarreta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. There was no doubt that Ibarreta were the better team. Ibarreta's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
