Full Metal AFC's Robustiano Cordarius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amancio Gonsalve in the 15th minute of play. Domingos Illart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Robustiano Cordarius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robustiano Cordarius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Gonsalve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amancio Gonsalve might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robustiano Cordarius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amancio Gonsalve ran back to his position shaking his head. Robustiano Cordarius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingos Illart went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the game, Godfredo Gauargi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rancagua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Full Metal AFC the free kick. After 28 played minutes Rancagua FC got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Gauargi. A hard shot 31 in the game by Domingos Illart from a close distance when the talented Robustiano Cordarius managed to make a qualified save. Full Metal AFC's players were relieved. Domingos Illart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Amancio Gonsalve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Full Metal AFC's Robustiano Cordarius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Full Metal AFC from getting a goal against them. Domingos Illart was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. Rancagua FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Amancio Gonsalve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

52 minutes into the match, Amancio Gonsalve notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Full Metal AFC's Robustiano Cordarius. Robustiano Cordarius was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Domingos Illart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingos Illart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. The supporters of Rancagua FC booed when Full Metal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Intxixu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Cordarius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Gonsalve, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Amancio Gonsalve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rancagua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Gonsalve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingos Illart in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Cordarius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amancio Gonsalve struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Robustiano Cordarius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rancagua FC. When Antonio Intxixu came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Full Metal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonio Intxixu couldn't finish the play. Rancagua FC's Amancio Gonsalve got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingos Illart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Cordarius having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rancagua FC had played much better football throughout.
