Ciriaco Abarcas short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Freddy Gaizko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Igor Eriz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Guerau having to make a save. In the 27th minute, Federico Martinez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Igor Eriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Guerau having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Eriz in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Guerau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leo Guerau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Eriz in the 36th minute of play. Ciriaco Abarca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Freddy Gaizko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Federico Martinez came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Durazno FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Martinez couldn't finish the play. If Federico Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igor Eriz made a kick off. Federico Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Guerau having to interfere. Federico Martinez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Leo Guerau made a huge save. In the 63rd minute, Benjamin Lapurdi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Ciriaco Abarca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddy Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Lapurdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Durazno FC's Federico Martinez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Guerau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Rosendo Iturri fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento's protests and gave Rosendo Iturri a yellow card for diving instead. When Igor Eriz came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Durazno FC fans jumped to their feet.
