Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sanabria's Ciriaco Estebe started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palmira AFC's goalkeeper Guido Perico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Placido Macario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sanabria's Leonel Lorenz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Argenis in the 13th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Palmira AFC's zone, Ciriaco Estebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Perico came out of the goal and Ciriaco Estebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciriaco Estebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Perico having to interfere. Lisandro Lauren's late challenge caught a Sanabria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lisandro Lauren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Lisandro Lauren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciriaco Estebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Perico having to interfere. If Abel Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Moises Gaspard sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sanabria's Leonel Lorenz didn't even have to move. Ciriaco Estebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Perico having to interfere. Marcelo Argenis struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Leonel Lorenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmira AFC. When Marcelo Argenis came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Palmira AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Argenis couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Argenis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Argenis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Leonel Lorenz made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Tonete during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palmira AFC! The referee gave Sanabria a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Angelino Naelio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palmira AFC's Guido Perico. 1-0. 60 minutes into the game, Placido Macario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmira AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sanabria the free kick. After having played for 63 minutes, Marcelo Argenis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmira AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Argenis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abel Abaurre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Abaurre in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guido Perico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute Ciriaco Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Perico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Palmira AFC's zone, Abel Abaurre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guido Perico came out of the goal and Abel Abaurre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Palmira AFC's Placido Macario got a free kick in the 90th minute.
