But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Fero couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejandro Manuelo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosendo Fernanco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Palermo FC booed when Berna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Peter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justino Martinez in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosendo Fernanco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Berna booed when Palermo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florencio Fero in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flavio Orlo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Berna's Baldomero Damario shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Flavio Orlo but with some difficulty.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Florencio Fero made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Carmelo Xabier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo FC and the Berna players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florencio Fero in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Orlo saved Palermo FC from getting behind.
