If Cosme Matro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Güemes getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ismael Cefero hit a great ball. Arnaldo Pierres was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Virgilio Jurgi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esteban Salvidor during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Potrerillo AFC's Esteban Salvidor got a free kick in the 17th minute. Abel Dacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Arnaldo Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd play minute Abel Dacio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arnaldo Pierres. 1-0. Angelino Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosme Matro in the 25th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Güemes got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Cefero. Abel Dacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Dacio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Arnaldo Pierres when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 39 minutes into the game, Cosme Matro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Angelino Urtats was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Cosme Matro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosme Matro to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Santo Beat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Güemes's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Beat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Urtats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amado Teyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amado Teyo struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Angelino Urtats didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Güemes. 65 minutes into the match, Potrerillo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Teyo came free, but Angelino Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abel Dacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Arnaldo Pierres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Feliciano Roderigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnaldo Pierres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Dacio in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Potrerillo AFC's goalkeeper Angelino Urtats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cosme Matro. Eliseo Erroman's late challenge caught a Güemes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Erroman helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseo Erroman hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to Potrerillo AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Esteban Salvidor hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Potrerillo AFC's Abel Dacio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaldo Pierres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Potrerillo AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Güemes's performance. The match ended with a win for Güemes.
