Basilio Oskarbi hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Carlos Atarratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute Bartolo Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Urbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Urbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Dino in the 16th minute of play. Cristian Niguel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pascual Frichoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Ramirez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borghi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tosno AFC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Atarratze in the 24th minute of play forced Borghi's goalkeeper Pascual Frichoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Urbes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Foro in the 29th minute of play. 1-0 became the score in the 42nd minute when Carlos Atarratze elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tosno AFC's Jairo Urbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Foro in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd match minute, Borghi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Kismi to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Cristian Niguel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bartolo Foro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Urbes having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Tosno AFC's goalkeeper Jairo Urbes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Ramirez. Artemio Kismi hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jairo Urbes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Dino's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Jairo Urbes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Ramirez in the 70th minute. In the 75th minute Carlos Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Frichoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Niguel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Frichoso having to interfere. Christian Dino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Jairo Urbes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 83rd minute, Christian Dino fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Christian Dino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christian Dino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Urbes having to interfere. The supporters of Borghi booed when Tosno AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Munio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tosno AFC's zone, Christian Dino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Urbes came out of the goal and Christian Dino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Alvaro Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Urbes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Christian Dino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 96 minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
