The long shot by Benjamin Balendin in the 11th minute really tested Teobaldo Steven's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cornelio Ledesma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Montay, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Honorio Salvator notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Asamblea AFC's Cornelio Ledesma. Cornelio Ledesma was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Gilberto Oton fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento AFC's protests and gave Gilberto Oton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Sarmiento AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Oton to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Montay in the 22nd minute of play forced Asamblea AFC's goalkeeper Cornelio Ledesma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teobaldo Steven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Feliz's late challenge caught a Asamblea AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Feliz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th minute, Aldo Feliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Asamblea AFC's Bonifacio Mino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When Tomás Su fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Asamblea AFC's protests and gave Tomás Su a yellow card for diving instead. 34 minutes into the game, one of Asamblea AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Sarmiento AFC a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Serafin Cordarrol, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Asamblea AFC's Cornelio Ledesma. 1-2. The Asamblea AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sarmiento AFC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Honorio Salvator to strike the kick off in the second half. Bonifacio Mino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teobaldo Steven made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Mino in the 56th minute of play. Aldo Feliz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento AFC's zone, Miguel Mikelar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Steven came out of the goal and Miguel Mikelar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cornelio Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Salvator in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Marcial Ruy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 68 minutes, Miguel Mikelar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asamblea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Mikelar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento AFC's Adriana Felipo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Sarmiento AFC's Teobaldo Steven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Mino in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th minute, Raul Montay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cornelio Ledesma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Salvator in the 77th minute of play. Sarmiento AFC's Aldo Feliz suffered a sore thigh after 78 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfonso Larra during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Asamblea AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Larra to maneuver through the defense. If Raul Montay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Montay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornelio Ledesma read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Miguel Mikelar might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teobaldo Steven. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Mikelar ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Mikelar struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Teobaldo Steven didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Asamblea AFC. Teobaldo Steven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Mikelar got in the 96th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Teobaldo Steven handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar.
