Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aureliano Rolado started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Higuerita's Nemesio Bernaldo got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 8thth minute of the game Luis Osoitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ampata's Paulino Gotzon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Luis Osoitz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulino Gotzon. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Aureliano Rolado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Cornelio Orlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arnulfo Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Raimundo Guter notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Higuerita's Cornelio Orlin. Cornelio Orlin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 38 minutes, Luis Osoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Higuerita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Osoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Aureliano Rolado came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Ampata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Rolado couldn't finish the play. Pablo Nayely charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pablo Nayely the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pablo Nayely hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luis Osoitz made a kick off. Paulino Gotzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Acosta in the 54th minute of the match. Raimundo Guter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Cornelio Orlin made a huge save. Raimundo Guter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arnulfo Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Guter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Orlin having to make a save. If Aureliano Rolado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulino Gotzon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnulfo Acosta went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When Santo Carlomagno fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ampata's protests and gave Santo Carlomagno a yellow card for diving instead. Santo Carlomagno kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
