In the 4th minute of the match Emanuel Anaya sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teobaldo Steven skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Luis Osoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teobaldo Steven was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After 22 played minutes Sarmiento AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adriana Felipo. Sarmiento AFC's Raul Montay got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sarmiento AFC booed when Higuerita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Nayely didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Honorio Salvator's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cornelio Orlin was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Adriana Felipo's late challenge caught a Higuerita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adriana Felipo helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Sarmiento AFC got a freekick which was hit by Adriana Felipo. Arnulfo Acosta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Teobaldo Steven made a huge save. In the 65thth minute of the game Luis Osoitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmiento AFC's Teobaldo Steven was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sarmiento AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Montay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Orlin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 69th minute of the match Delmiro Espiridion completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Delmiro Espiridion a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Higuerita's Delmiro Espiridion got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Honorio Salvator came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Sarmiento AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Salvator couldn't finish the play. Nemesio Bernaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nemesio Bernaldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nemesio Bernaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Sarmiento AFC's Serafin Cordarrol broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide.
