Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ceferino Martxel started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute of the match, Ceferino Martxel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnulfo Umbruso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gilberto Serafo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Tiniebra in the 9th minute of play. Celso Tiniebra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Kimetz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The long shot by Sebastian Abeita in the 20th minute really tested Arnulfo Umbruso's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Agustin Ordono hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Vinicio Koldo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Conlara FC's Gilberto Serafo. Gilberto Serafo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Conlara FC's Humberto Marin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnulfo Umbruso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ceferino Martxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Koldo in the 52nd minute of play forced Conlara FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Serafo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Fidel Jordy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conlara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Jordy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnulfo Umbruso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinicio Koldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Serafo having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Celso Tiniebra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilberto Serafo, 0-2. Fidel Jordy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnulfo Umbruso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Martxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Fidel Jordy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Umbruso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Conlara FC's zone, Celso Tiniebra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Serafo came out of the goal and Celso Tiniebra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fidel Jordy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Celso Tiniebra came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Argüello fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Tiniebra couldn't finish the play. The Argüello supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Argüello would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
