Ovejería's supporters rose to their feet, but Edelmiro Frederico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Garaona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the game, Cristo Lucila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Artemio Garaona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melchor Romelio during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Ovejería was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Romelio to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Lucila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Frederico in the 20th minute of play forced Ichigualasto's goalkeeper Artemio Garaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Edelmiro Frederico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Garaona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Ichigualasto's goal looked a bit too open when Cristo Lucila came free, but Artemio Garaona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Juan Oinatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ovejería's Oscar Mikelats got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruperto Osmundo was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ichigualasto's goalkeeper Artemio Garaona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Ovejería got a freekick which was hit by Eloy Ekhi. Silvio Pirro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruperto Osmundo's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Ruperto Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Ruperto Osmundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Oinatz might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvio Pirro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Oinatz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute Ruperto Osmundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Pirro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Ovejería's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Oinatz came free, but Silvio Pirro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Ovejería defense, Romulo Tonete kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Pirro. The Ovejería fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Pirro should have stopped the shot. The Ovejería players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
