Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vinicio Thomas made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Arnulfo Cheche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Enmanuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Bizi in the 6th minute of play. Arnulfo Cheche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Benicio Aires came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ascasubi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benicio Aires couldn't finish the play. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Portugalete FC! In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Ascasubi FC. Artemio Duardo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Guillermo Artaldo. 1-0. Vinicio Thomas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Artaldo having to interfere. If Vinicio Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, Ascasubi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Matai to maneuver through the defense. Vinicio Thomas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillermo Artaldo having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Benicio Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ascasubi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benicio Aires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Artaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinicio Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcelo Ruisko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anastasio Matai's late challenge caught a Portugalete FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasio Matai helped the player get up and apologised. Anastasio Matai hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Guillermo Artaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Thomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

After 57 played minutes Portugalete FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Videl. After having played for 58 minutes, Artemio Duardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ascasubi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artemio Duardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benicio Aires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Artaldo having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vinicio Thomas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillermo Artaldo was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Vinicio Thomas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Portugalete FC's Marcelo Ruisko got a free kick in the 67th minute. Vinicio Thomas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ascasubi FC had played much better football throughout.
