After 37 minutes, Santiago Macario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colana and the Tonono players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vicente Hever came out of the goal and Aureliano Richie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the game, Constantino Sedeni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tonono's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colana the free kick. In the 75th match minute, Tonono was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Sedeni to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Candido Fiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colana's supporters rose to their feet, but Candido Fiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Hever breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
