The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Ombucito FC. Ramiro Mambru stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Flavio Vachon. 0-1. Parish FC's Isidoro Dominguez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Aureliano Salomon but with some difficulty. Segundo Ubelteso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aureliano Salomon came out and tried to block the shot, but Segundo Ubelteso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Parish FC's Isidoro Dominguez got a free kick in the 17th minute. Guaberto Nafarroa charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guaberto Nafarroa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guaberto Nafarroa kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ombucito FC's Aureliano Salomon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Ubelteso in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute Inocencio Mitxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inocencio Mitxel in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vachon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 28th minute Inocencio Mitxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Segundo Ubelteso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parish FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Ubelteso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aureliano Salomon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cesar Frans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 51 minutes, Inocencio Mitxel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
