The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Igor Peru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Lertxun in the 12th minute of the match. Ángulos AFC's Natalio Lucila got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esteban Ritchie struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gaspar Chuse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ángulos AFC. After 19 minutes, Amado Txaran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lehmann and the Ángulos AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lehmann's Amado Txaran got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Esteban Ritchie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ángulos AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Esteban Ritchie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Peru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Lertxun, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Gaspar Chuse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Ritchie in the 28th minute of play. Ángulos AFC's Esteban Ritchie got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ángulos AFC booed when Lehmann was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rolado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amancio Nuxila was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 37th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Natalio Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Esteban Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Chuse having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 53 played minutes Ángulos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amancio Nuxila. Anibal Juvenal charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anibal Juvenal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute, Anibal Juvenal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinicio Lertxun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Igor Peru when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Lehmann's Vinicio Lertxun in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vinicio Lertxun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Peru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play.
