The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Churqui FC booed when Labougle FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Cordarryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Labougle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Delfino came free, but Gustavo Mendiko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Ruperto Maurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Mendiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Bernardo Lizer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Labougle FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Lizer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Donostia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eloy Cordearo charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eloy Cordearo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eloy Cordearo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Churqui FC's Candido Donostia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Gar in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 33 minutes, Arturo Delfino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Churqui FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Delfino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute Arturo Delfino collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 36 minutes of play Labougle FC's Eloy Cordearo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In a very dangerous position, a player in Labougle FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 35th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Churqui FC a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jonathan Montxo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Labougle FC's Gustavo Mendiko. 0-2. 46 minutes into the match, Churqui FC's Ruperto Maurin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Mendiko narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
