After 7 minutes, Wilfredo Dino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanteri AFC and the Piñero FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lanteri AFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Wilfredo Dino hit a great ball. After 8 played minutes, Piñero FC's Placido Oihenarte shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabian Vincent came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piñero FC reached it. After having played for 9 minutes, Gaston Policarpio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piñero FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Policarpio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gaston Policarpio struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Fabian Vincent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piñero FC. After 13 played minutes Piñero FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Urbes. Gaston Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Vedillo's late challenge caught a Lanteri AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Vedillo helped the player get up and apologised. Carolo Santxol was extremely unlucky when he, in the 24th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 27 minutes into the match, Piñero FC's goalkeeper Astor Gonzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Rosio. Victorino Rosio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Astor Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Policarpio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piñero FC's Astor Gonzo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Piñero FC from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Lanteri AFC's Carolo Santxol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Astor Gonzo. Astor Gonzo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Saverio Palban was the one to do the kick off. If Victorino Rosio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Rosio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Dino hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Piñero FC's Denis Vedillo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Lanteri AFC's Victorino Rosio got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaston Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saverio Palban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saverio Palban in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Vincent saved Lanteri AFC from getting behind. Victorino Rosio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victorino Rosio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Fabian Vincent managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Piñero FC's Gaston Policarpio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Saverio Palban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 2-0 became the score in the 86th minute when Victorino Rosio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Rosio in the 92nd minute of play forced Piñero FC's goalkeeper Astor Gonzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Victorino Rosio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Gonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Piñero FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
