After having played for 7 minutes, Ciro Montrelle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Transito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Montrelle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hector Ibañez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Etxeberri, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Etxeberri in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Ibañez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 played minutes Matansilla got a freekick which was hit by Marco Hats. Igor Etxeberri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hector Ibañez having to make a save. Eusebio Lohitzun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matansilla's Apolo Isidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Matansilla from getting a goal against them. Igor Etxeberri scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Ibañez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciro Montrelle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Apolo Isidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Transito players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Matansilla were winning 0-1.

Apolo Isidor came out of the goal and Ciro Montrelle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 58th minute of the game. One of Matansilla:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Transito:s goal. The supporters of Transito booed when Matansilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Hats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victoriano Tabor, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Apolo Isidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Montrelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Montrelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Isidor having to interfere. In the 75th minute Eusebio Lohitzun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Isidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Isidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Montrelle in the 80th minute of the match.
