After 24 played minutes, Bermejo FC's Bartolo Bakar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aldo Felipillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bermejo FC reached it. Fabricio Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, Patquía FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Salvino to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 34 minutes, Adriana Geofredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bermejo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriana Geofredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabricio Aimar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Felipillo having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Fabricio Aimar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bermejo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Salvino to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Patquía FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Silvestre Francho hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabricio Aimar in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Felipillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabricio Aimar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Aldo Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Fabian Salvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Dorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aldo Felipillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Aimar, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Bermejo FC's Urbano Dorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Cortez in the 76th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robustiano Eudoxio during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Patquía FC got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Eudoxio. Aldo Felipillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabricio Aimar, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 89th match minute, Bermejo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Bakar to maneuver through the defense. After 90 played minutes, Patquía FC's Federico Alonso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Urbano Dorio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Patquía FC reached it. Urbano Dorio came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Patquía FC's Rafael Cortez. But to his dismay, Rafael Cortez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
