Rogelio Claris might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramon Valente. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Claris ran back to his position shaking his head. Gervasio Leoncio struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Ramon Valente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huasán FC. 9 minutes into the game, Simon Colas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huasán FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibahay the free kick. After 10 played minutes Huasán FC got a freekick which was hit by Simon Colas. Tiburcio Oto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ezequiel Salvino in the 13th minute of the match. Siro Dimo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute Ezequiel Salvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Oto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Rogelio Claris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huasán FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Claris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Gervasio Leoncio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibahay's Ramon Valente was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Gervasio Leoncio came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Huasán FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervasio Leoncio couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Rogelio Claris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huasán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Claris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Huasán FC's Gervasio Leoncio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramon Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Rogelio Claris notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ibahay's Ramon Valente. Ramon Valente was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Ibahay's Filiberto Justin got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Gervasio Leoncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Rogelio Claris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huasán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Claris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Valente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Salvino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramon Valente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Claris, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute, Rogelio Claris ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramon Valente was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Rogelio Claris came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Huasán FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Claris couldn't finish the play. Huasán FC's Tiburcio Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Salvino in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Horacio Eyague hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Rogelio Claris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huasán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Claris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
