Melquiades Esquipula was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Simon Marino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Simon Marino really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Inocencio Benino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeo Arotza, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Hoyón's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Lordi came free, but Inocencio Benino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Marino in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Esquipula saved Trinidad AFC from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Hoyón's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Arotza came free, but Inocencio Benino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadeo Arotza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Benino having to interfere. In the 29th minute Aaron Lordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Benino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trinidad AFC's Melquiades Esquipula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Marino in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Hoyón booed when Trinidad AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Jusepe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes, Trinidad AFC's Romulo Jusepe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Inocencio Benino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Trinidad AFC reached it. 40 minutes into the game, Benjamin Koldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hoyón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trinidad AFC the free kick. After 40 played minutes Hoyón got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Koldo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gavino Lander got free with Melquiades Esquipula in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aaron Lordi to strike the kick off in the second half. Simon Marino might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melquiades Esquipula. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Marino ran back to his position shaking his head. Simon Marino struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Melquiades Esquipula didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hoyón. When Simon Marino got free in front of the goal in the 62nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Melquiades Esquipula was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Simon Marino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Melquiades Esquipula was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tadeo Arotza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Inocencio Benino made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Gavino Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoyón's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavino Lander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Esquipula breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melquiades Esquipula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Marino in the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Marino in the 83rd minute of play forced Trinidad AFC's goalkeeper Melquiades Esquipula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tadeo Arotza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Benino having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Aaron Lordi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Inocencio Benino. The goal made the score 2-1.
