An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Manilan in the 6th minute of play forced Sarasa FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Maria during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Sarasa FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Maria. 11 minutes into the game, Catuna's Horacio Calixto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Astudillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With a little luck, Sarasa FC's Rigoberto Astudillo got control of the ball when Horacio Calixto tried to sneak it across the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Vinicio Chayo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Donato Matthew was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ermegildo Salvatore's late challenge caught a Sarasa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermegildo Salvatore helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, Catuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Salvatore to maneuver through the defense. Catuna's Donato Matthew played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Chayo in the 24th minute of play. Rigoberto Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Manilan, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st match minute, Catuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Azibar to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Catuna getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Luciano Mancio hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, Catuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Salvatore to maneuver through the defense. Vinicio Chayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Sarasa FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Astudillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelino Manilan. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelino Manilan was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Otsando in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Astudillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelino Manilan's late challenge caught a Sarasa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Maria kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 65 minutes, Roberto Udalaitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarasa FC and the Catuna players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sarasa FC's Roberto Udalaitz got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Marcelino Manilan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Manilan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the match, Marcelino Manilan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rigoberto Astudillo. Sarasa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelino Manilan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Donato Matthew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Chayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Marcelino Manilan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Manilan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Catuna had won after a very even match.
