Marcial Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Manilan in the 5th minute of the match. Anacleto Erdiano hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the game, Fernan Isaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ninte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catuna the free kick. Marcelino Manilan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Catuna's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ninte's Marcial Flores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Ninte from getting a goal against them. Marcelino Manilan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Marcial Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delmiro Roldan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Matthew having to interfere. Marcelino Manilan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcial Flores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Manilan in the 23rd minute of play. Denis Otsando charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Otsando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Denis Otsando hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Donato Matthew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmiro Roldan in the 30th minute of play. When Esteve Hondo fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ninte's protests and gave Esteve Hondo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Catuna booed when Ninte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Giro hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Ernesto Sansone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delmiro Roldan took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Matthew. Donato Matthew dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ernesto Sansone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ninte's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Sansone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Matthew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ninte had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
