Cirilo Erramu charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cirilo Erramu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Saladillo booed when Pedernales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Erramu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedernales's Cristo Esquipula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Bide in the 12th minute of play. Atilano Eztebe struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Arnaldo Lugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedernales. Fermin Ado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustaquio Gasteiz hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Atilano Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Saladillo's Hernan Bide ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristo Esquipula. Cristo Esquipula yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Atilano Eztebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Lugo having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Atilano Eztebe to make the kick off. Fermin Ado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernan Bide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristo Esquipula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Beturian in the 63rd minute of play. Pedernales's Cristo Esquipula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Bide in the 65th minute of play. Cristo Esquipula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Bide in the 66th minute of the match. Arnaldo Lugo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Eztebe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atilano Eztebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristo Esquipula was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 87 minutes into the match, Atilano Eztebe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Lugo. Saladillo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Atilano Eztebe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Beturian in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristo Esquipula saved Pedernales from getting behind. The supporters of Saladillo booed when Pedernales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evelio Silviano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
