Volta AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladimiro Luar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th match minute, Palomas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Sayvion to maneuver through the defense. Rodolfo Playo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimiro Luar in the 10th minute. Aristides Koldobika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Basilio Tono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vladimiro Luar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Quilo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodolfo Playo. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. With his leg Rodolfo Playo managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Volta AFC's Hilario Prejun fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Basilio Tono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Sayvion in the 35th minute of the match. Javier Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Volta AFC's Javier Lauaxeta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Playo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Volta AFC's zone, Aristides Koldobika stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Tono came out of the goal and Aristides Koldobika tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Javier Lauaxeta to strike the kick off in the second half. Volta AFC's attack was well implemented in the 56th minute, but when Javier Lauaxeta was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. After having played for 58 minutes, Venancio Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pascual Peruanton's late challenge caught a Volta AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Peruanton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, Palomas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Peruanton to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Palomas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Lauaxeta came free, but Rodolfo Playo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Blai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Tono read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Venancio Blai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Tono having to interfere. Basilio Tono made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Aristides Koldobika sent off a good shot on target. Palomas FC's Rodolfo Playo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimiro Luar in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes, Venancio Blai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palomas FC and the Volta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Palomas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Blai to maneuver through the defense. After 86 played minutes Palomas FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Ledesma. When Marcos Quilo fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Volta AFC's protests and gave Marcos Quilo a yellow card for diving instead.
