An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Panfilo in the 8th minute of play forced Elena FC's goalkeeper Isidro Lluques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Mauro Seber made a precise shot to the right of Cristo Ikatz. PatquíaViejo AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 14 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Lizar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cristo Ikatz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Elena FC defense, Aureliano Larra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Lluques. The Elena FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Lluques should have stopped the shot. Isidro Lluques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Panfilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 29th minute, Norberto Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmacio Lizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cristo Ikatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mauro Seber came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Elena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Seber couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes, Norberto Lugo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elena FC and the PatquíaViejo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Norberto Lugo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After having played for 48 minutes, Aureliano Larra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PatquíaViejo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliano Larra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mario Acevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isidro Lluques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Julio Javiero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Panfilo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isidro Lluques having to make a save. Mario Acevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Mauro Seber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Cristo Ikatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Panfilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norberto Lugo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Elias Panfilo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PatquíaViejo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Panfilo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 minutes of play, PatquíaViejo AFC's Elias Panfilo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isidro Lluques was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dalmacio Lizar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmacio Lizar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristo Ikatz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristo Ikatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Seber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mauro Seber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
