In the 6th minute Fabian Maurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Benino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Benitez in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Benino saved Arribeños from getting behind. A hard shot 16 in the game by Leonardo Sedeni from a close distance when the talented Tobias Jenaro managed to make a qualified save. Ichipuca FC's players were relieved. In the 19th match minute, Ichipuca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Rayman to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Matias Benitez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ichipuca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Benitez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Benino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ichipuca FC's Tobias Jenaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Ichipuca FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ichipuca FC's zone, Leonardo Sedeni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Jenaro came out of the goal and Leonardo Sedeni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arribeños's Bruno Benino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Benitez in the 38th minute of play. Albino Rio's late challenge caught a Arribeños's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Rio helped the player get up and apologised. Leonardo Sedeni came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tobias Jenaro could save by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
After having played for 59 minutes, Leonardo Sedeni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arribeños's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonardo Sedeni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aureliano Berasko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Pudes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Fabian Maurin might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Benino. The tension between the Arribeños and the Ichipuca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silvio Piearres charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvio Piearres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ichipuca FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Silvio Piearres hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
