Mollaco's Americo Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Abechuco in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Iguassu's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Gonchan came free, but Jonas Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mauro Lonzo came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Mollaco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Lonzo couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Iguassu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mollaco:s goal. The referee gave Mollaco a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Saturnino Muno, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Iguassu's Jonas Navarro. 0-1. When Florentino Benet fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mollaco's protests and gave Florentino Benet a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Mollaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Benet to maneuver through the defense. Abel Gonchan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Navarro having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauro Lonzo was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Iguassu's goalkeeper Jonas Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abel Gonchan. Abel Gonchan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jonas Navarro made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by German Abechuco during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. German Abechuco hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A collision led to Mollaco getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Florentino Benet hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, German Abechuco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iguassu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mauro Lonzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Lonzo ran back to his position shaking his head. Iguassu succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Mollaco had controlled the match.
