Guido Eate took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Samuel Pacho. Ruiz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Palmar AFC's Igor Nafarroa got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Eusebio Napier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Igor Nafarroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Palmar AFC's Urbano Txartiko couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ruiz. In the 16th match minute, Ruiz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Boni to maneuver through the defense. Eusebio Napier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Samuel Pacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Boni charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dario Boni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Dario Boni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Ruiz's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Napier came free, but Samuel Pacho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26th play minutes Igor Nafarroa shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Samuel Pacho and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 30th minute, Igor Nafarroa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmar AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 34th play minute Cirilo Hulberto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marcelo Frans. 1-2. 38 minutes into the match, Igor Nafarroa notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ruiz's Samuel Pacho. Samuel Pacho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Ildefonso Shantala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Marcelo Frans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeo Osasun in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Ruiz booed when Palmar AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Shantala didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ruiz's Cirilo Hulberto in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmar AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Nafarroa got free with Samuel Pacho in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Nafarroa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Samuel Pacho made a huge save. When Urbano Txartiko fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmar AFC's protests and gave Urbano Txartiko a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Palmar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Urbano Txartiko. Lisandro Abilio, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Marcelo Frans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Osasun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Amadeo Osasun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Eusebio Napier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuel Pacho. Eusebio Napier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Ruiz's Samuel Pacho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Napier in the 86th minute of play. Igor Nafarroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Pacho having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, Palmar AFC's Igor Nafarroa made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Pacho was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Palmar AFC booed when Ruiz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Castulo didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Xabier, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Palmar AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
