Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Felipe Abeijon got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Abeijon in the 4th minute of play forced Sunchal's goalkeeper Cleto Indalecio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Abeijon scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cleto Indalecio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Huasán's zone, Conrado Gonzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Godfredo Lehoi came out of the goal and Conrado Gonzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Policarpio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Godfredo Lehoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nestor Santikurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Conrado Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor Santikurtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Cleto Indalecio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sunchal's Alvaro Llanos got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Conrado Gonzo came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Sunchal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Gonzo couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Paul struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Cleto Indalecio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huasán. Cleto Indalecio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Santikurtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44thth minute of the game Conrado Gonzo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huasán's Godfredo Lehoi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Sunchal's Conrado Gonzo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Godfredo Lehoi. That made the score 1-1 after 46 minutes of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrado Gonzo made a kick off. Edelmiro Udalaitz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Sunchal's Manuel Hori couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Huasán. A collision led to Sunchal getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Conrado Gonzo hit a great ball. Felipe Abeijon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Alvaro Paul suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Israel Quinten during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sunchal's Israel Quinten got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the game, Conrado Gonzo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sunchal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huasán the free kick. After 76 played minutes Sunchal got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Gonzo. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sunchal's goalkeeper Cleto Indalecio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Conrado Gonzo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Sunchal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Gonzo couldn't finish the play. Nestor Santikurtz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Cleto Indalecio made a huge save. After 95 minutes, Joaquin Rey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huasán and the Sunchal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Huasán:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sunchal:s goal. Manuel Hori walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sunchal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Huasán had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
