Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andres Salamon took the kick off in the first half of the match. Modesto Nayely recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Salamon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Ariel Pitin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caldao's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Pitin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Quintyn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, Caldao's Severo Ixaka broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Caldao's zone, Modesto Nayely stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Domingues came out of the goal and Modesto Nayely tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Tomás Montay made a precise shot to the right of Aquiles Domingues. Caldao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Tomás Montay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Montay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aquiles Domingues having to interfere. Candido Afonso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Tomás Montay came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Palomitas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Montay couldn't finish the play. Modesto Nayely's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquiles Domingues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Modesto Nayely stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Evaristo Lluterio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caldao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palomitas the free kick. In the 51st minute, Evaristo Lluterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Romildo during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Caldao booed when Palomitas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Romildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modesto Nayely received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Aquiles Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Quintyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Pitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Palomitas's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Salamon came free, but Nestor Quintyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Andres Salamon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Quintyn. Palomitas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Salamon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 77 played minutes Caldao got a freekick which was hit by Candido Afonso. If Modesto Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Palomitas booed when Caldao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Orlondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquiles Domingues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Modesto Nayely's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 90 minutes into the match, Palomitas's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Salamon came free, but Nestor Quintyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ariel Pitin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 101st minute Andres Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quintyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Palomitas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
