Gavino Gai was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Justino Birjaio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Justino Birjaio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justino Birjaio in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Gai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humahuaca's Gavino Gai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Birjaio in the 11th minute of play. Arturo Lauaxeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Tiadoro in the 17th minute of play forced Famatanca AFC's goalkeeper Marco Gorbea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Cesar Eutropio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Gorbea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Arturo Lauaxeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Gai having to interfere. If Justino Birjaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Gai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Birjaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arturo Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Antonio Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marco Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Tiadoro struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Marco Gorbea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Humahuaca. 49 minutes into the game, Cayetano Refugio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Humahuaca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Famatanca AFC the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 57th play minutes Cesar Eutropio shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Marco Gorbea and just under the crossbar into goal. Cesar Eutropios short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Marco Gorbea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Famatanca AFC's zone, Cesar Eutropio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Gorbea came out of the goal and Cesar Eutropio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69thth minute of the game Antonio Tiadoro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Famatanca AFC's Marco Gorbea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Justino Birjaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Gai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Humahuaca booed when Famatanca AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Paublo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 played minutes Famatanca AFC got a freekick which was hit by Serafino Paublo. Lino Pelagius, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eugenio Bernebe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Marco Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Humahuaca's Eugenio Bernebe got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute of the match Eustacio Daunte shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavino Gai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Antonio Tiadoro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Gorbea having to interfere. Venancio Cutberto charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Venancio Cutberto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cesar Eutropio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Marco Gorbea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 101 minutes into the match, Famatanca AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Tiadoro came free, but Marco Gorbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Famatanca AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Humahuaca's performance. The match ended with a win for Humahuaca.
