Ramiro Mitxaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Lorenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramiro Mitxaut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Froilan Lorenz's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. The supporters of Ramírez booed when Durazno AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Burutzagi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenio Gaspard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Su came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Ramírez's Maximiliano Asteri. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Asteri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Joaquin Fertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ramiro Mitxaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ramírez getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Abel Azeari hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, one of Ramírez:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Joaquin Fertus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Durazno AFC's Adan Santos got a free kick in the 46th minute. Ramírez were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after Durazno AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hernan Gaxan took the corner.

In the 53rd minute Maximiliano Asteri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Su saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Fertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ramiro Mitxaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramírez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Durazno AFC the free kick. Alfredo Jordy kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Froilan Lorenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Asteri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciriaco Su having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Ramírez's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Fertus came free, but Ramiro Mitxaut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciriaco Su showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Erroman in the 91st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aureliano Elorri during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes Durazno AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Elorri. 97 minutes in the game, Maximiliano Asteri fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ciriaco Su having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Durazno AFC had won after a very even match.
