The referee showed Froilan Ellande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, Lanús was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Ellande to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th match minute, Jaramillo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Nikola to maneuver through the defense. When Andres Nikola got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Jaramillo AFC. 19 minutes into the match, Alonzo Laurentzi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jaramillo AFC's Honorio Sesuldo. Honorio Sesuldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Honorio Sesuldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Marquez in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Hilario Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanús's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hilario Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Honorio Sesuldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hilario Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Lanús fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Marquez couldn't finish the play. Alonzo Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaramillo AFC's goalkeeper Honorio Sesuldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Lanús were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alonzo Laurentzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lanús booed when Jaramillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Procopio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lanús's Primitivo Emeterio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomero Dacio in the 54th minute of play. Prudencio Urritz kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Alonzo Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Hilario Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorio Sesuldo having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Alonzo Laurentzi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Honorio Sesuldo. The goal made the score 0-3. Baldomero Dacio struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Primitivo Emeterio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaramillo AFC. After having played for 88 minutes, Andres Nikola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaramillo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Nikola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Primitivo Emeterio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Dacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Lanús left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jaramillo AFC.
