In the 8th minute Marcelino Eleazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Atahona's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Enekoitz came free, but Victorio Oinaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Horacio Enekoitz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atahona's Victorio Oinaz. Victorio Oinaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Burmeister FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marcelino Benitez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 27 minutes into the game, Marcelino Benitez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Teodoro Martxel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victorio Oinaz came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Burmeister FC's Ambrosio Rufo. But to his dismay, Ambrosio Rufo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Marcelino Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Teodoro Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Horacio Enekoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burmeister FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horacio Enekoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorio Oinaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 minutes of play, Atahona's Pastor Florinio made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Martxel was left in no man's land by his defense there! With an all-out effort, Burmeister FC's Victorio Oinaz threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Horacio Enekoitz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Burmeister FC's Teodoro Martxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Benitez in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Burmeister FC booed when Atahona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafino Celino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute of the game, Ambrosio Rufo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Marcelino Eleazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Atahona booed when Burmeister FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Lon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelino Benitez spun around in front of the goal 91 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Burmeister FC's goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Horacio Enekoitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atahona's Victorio Oinaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 98 minutes, Pastor Florinio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atahona and the Burmeister FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Burmeister FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
