The audience was convinced that Jaime Iigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artemio Cresitobalo was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Artemio Cresitobalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teo Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remigio Gaspard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Guerau made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Brinkman's zone, Lucio Ganix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Guerau came out of the goal and Lucio Ganix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remigio Gaspard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Osvaldo Guerau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Remigio Gaspard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Remigio Gaspard got free with Osvaldo Guerau in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of Brinkman booed when Tuyubil AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Romano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Iigo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artemio Cresitobalo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Ezequiel Cordaryal got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground.
