After 13 played minutes, Timote's Anibal Frasco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Francisco Leoncio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Timote reached it. If Timoteo Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Leoncio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Kiliz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gaspar Emeterio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 26thth minute, Marco Jax skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Timote's Jaime Florin got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Nunez Kiliz came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Timote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nunez Kiliz couldn't finish the play. Francisco Leoncio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Kiliz in the 35th minute of play. Timoteo Perico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Francisco Leoncio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Matará FC's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Perico came free, but Francisco Leoncio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francisco Leoncio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Perico, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute Nunez Kiliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Leoncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Timote's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
