Guañizuil 's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apeleg the free kick. The supporters of Apeleg booed when Guañizuil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Sotero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, one of Guañizuil :s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guañizuil . Elpidio Celio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Bakar in the 35th minute of the match. Guañizuil 's Isidro Serapio got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Apeleg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Olando to maneuver through the defense. Isidro Serapio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Elpidio Celio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elpidio Celio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Bakar in the 42nd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melchor Lugo to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Isidro Serapio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elpidio Celio. Apeleg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidro Serapio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Elpidio Celio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Serapio in the 56th minute of play. Isidro Serapio struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Elpidio Celio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guañizuil . Isidoro Bakar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st match minute, Apeleg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Olando to maneuver through the defense. Elpidio Celio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidro Serapio went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Apeleg's zone, Silvestre Gomesano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elpidio Celio came out of the goal and Silvestre Gomesano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Silvestre Gomesano came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Guañizuil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Gomesano couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Isidoro Bakar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Celio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Bakar struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Elpidio Celio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guañizuil . There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guañizuil fully deserved thier win.
