If Jesus Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltasar Guilabertus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Mattin in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Pedro Escobar had to leave the field with a concussion. 14 minutes into the game, Rosendo Maria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Medanito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Huascán the free kick. A collision led to Huascán getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jeremias Mikeldi hit a great ball. The supporters of Huascán booed when Medanito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Bieito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcial Eate was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 23rd match minute, Medanito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Sal to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Medanito's Cornelio Sal got a free kick in the 24th minute. A hard shot by Marcial Eate from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Baltasar Guilabertus's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 27 minutes in the game, Nunez Iraido fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Baltasar Guilabertus having to interfere. The supporters of Medanito booed when Huascán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Froylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes, Medanito's Gogo Bieito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodolfo Astudillo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Medanito reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornelio Sal during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cornelio Sal hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Baltasar Guilabertus made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Nunez Iraido sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 43 minutes, Jesus Gonza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medanito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Gonza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rodolfo Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Leoncio in the 45th minute of the match. Huascán's Rodolfo Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Gonza in the 46th minute of play. If Samuel Loco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nunez Iraido to strike the kick off in the second half. Nunez Iraido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jesus Gonza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodolfo Astudillo. That made the score 0-1 in the 62 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Medanito's Rosendo Maria got a free kick in the 68th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Nunez Iraido managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huascán's supporters rose to their feet, but Nunez Iraido was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltasar Guilabertus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 70 minutes, Eriberto Leoncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medanito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Leoncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nunez Iraido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Baltasar Guilabertus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baltasar Guilabertus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Mattin, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The Medanito players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
