Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jesus Gonza to make the kick off. Benjamin Balasi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Gonza in the 76th minute of play. When Medanito's Eriberto Leoncio in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Balboa FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
