In the 13th minute, Javier Mattin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nunez Iraido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Christian Nataniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Mattin in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Nataniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the match, Huascán's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Basualdo came free, but Rodolfo Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Claudio Basualdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villaguay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudio Basualdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Astudillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 39 minutes, Hilario Arnas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Huascán and the Villaguay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Huascán's Hilario Arnas got a free kick in the 39th minute. Christian Nataniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Mattin in the 44th minute of the match. The wind increased when Claudio Basualdo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Huascán booed when Villaguay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Huascán's goal looked a bit too open when Andres Iturri came free, but Rodolfo Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremias Mikeldi's late challenge caught a Villaguay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Mikeldi helped the player get up and apologised. Claudio Basualdo struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Rodolfo Astudillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villaguay FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Basualdo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodolfo Astudillo saved Huascán from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Claudio Basualdo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Astudillo was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 67th minute, Pedro Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Iturri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Astudillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Christian Nataniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Mattin, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. When Hilario Arnas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. Huascán's Rodolfo Astudillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Basualdo in the 97th minute of play. Villaguay FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
