In the 20th minute, Pastor Sanson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Colón FC's Rigoberto Lauren didn't even have to move. Robustiano Teodor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Lauren having to interfere. When Robustiano Teodor came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Medina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Teodor couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute Modesto Chinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Lauren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Colón FC's Jorge Paio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodosio Paul narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Medina getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Denis Burni hit a great ball. Jorge Paio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Gonzalez in the 44th minute of play forced Medina's goalkeeper Teodosio Paul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Robustiano Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Gabriel Gonzalez made the kick off in the second half. Colón FC's Rigoberto Lauren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robustiano Teodor in the 54th minute of play. Gabriel Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Paul having to interfere. If Robustiano Teodor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Paio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Teodosio Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodosio Paul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Paio's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Medina's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Gonzalez came free, but Teodosio Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Jorge Paio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodosio Paul was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, Medina's Evaristo Gaur got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Jorge Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robustiano Teodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Robustiano Teodor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Medina's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Gonzalez came free, but Teodosio Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jorge Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colón FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
