The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Ruy during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pedernales AFC's Siro Ruy got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olain FC's goalkeeper Virgilio Emesto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pedernales AFC defense, Severiano Leheren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Abel. The Pedernales AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Abel should have stopped the shot. If Fermin Vergaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Olain FC's zone, Marcos Beliran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Emesto came out of the goal and Marcos Beliran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Siro Kiliz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Beliran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute Fermin Vergaray shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niceto Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Hermengildo Peter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marcos Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Emesto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Beliran's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Siro Kiliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermengildo Peter kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Olain FC's Virgilio Emesto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Olain FC from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severiano Leheren to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Pedernales AFC's goalkeeper Niceto Abel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin Vergaray. After 53 played minutes Pedernales AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Joey. After having played for 53 minutes, Severiano Leheren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olain FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Leheren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Emesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Beliran in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60thth minute of the game Marcos Beliran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olain FC's Virgilio Emesto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Severiano Leheren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 minutes Olain FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jeronimo Ederono who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jeronimo Ederono almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Olain FC's Virgilio Emesto did a great save. Siro Kiliz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Virgilio Emesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fermin Vergaray got free with Niceto Abel in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fermin Vergaray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th match minute, Olain FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Chesus to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Pedernales AFC's Jeronimo Ederono tried to score from far away in the 80th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pedernales AFC's Niceto Abel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Pedernales AFC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Severiano Leheren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olain FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severiano Leheren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niceto Abel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severiano Leheren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
