Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 5 minutes, Rolando Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taboada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eustaquio Salomone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingo Rafe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Teobaldo Gorbea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Gamus in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Eustaquio Salomone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domingo Rafe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Rolando Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rolando Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Cristian Loren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Eustaquio Salomone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Loren in the 30th minute of play forced Taboada's goalkeeper Domingo Rafe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Tobias Quintan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taboada's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Quintan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobaldo Gorbea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, Isaac Leoiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palermo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taboada the free kick. The supporters of Taboada booed when Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Leoiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Gorbea having to interfere. When Cristian Loren came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Loren couldn't finish the play. Tobias Quintan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Leoiar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tobias Quintan was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Loren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Cristian Loren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Enmanuel's late challenge caught a Taboada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Enmanuel helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Palermo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gabriel Enmanuel hit a great ball. Palermo's Teobaldo Gorbea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Quintan in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute of the match, Eustaquio Salomone got a very nice opportunity to score, but Domingo Rafe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rolando Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Gorbea having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Palermo's Eustaquio Salomone sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Domingo Rafe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marciano Milian kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taboada's zone, Maximo Arano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingo Rafe came out of the goal and Maximo Arano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Loren in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingo Rafe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobias Quintan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
