Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Melquiades Nardo took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Melquiades Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximo Arano charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximo Arano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Maximo Arano got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 26 played minutes Uquía FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Lopes. Rogelio Cidro's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rogelio Cidro helped the player get up and apologised. A long shot from Arnaldo Mendebal in the 28th minute of play was well struck, but Reynaldo Tabor made a really good save at the right post. Cristian Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Tabor having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Loren made a kick off. If Melquiades Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustaquio Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Tabor having to interfere. Cristian Loren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Reynaldo Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eustaquio Salomone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Palermo's goalkeeper Teobaldo Gorbea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angel Urdaspal. Gabriel Enmanuel's late challenge caught a Uquía FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Enmanuel helped the player get up and apologised. Segundo Caton hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Cristian Loren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Tabor having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Uquía FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Loren came free, but Reynaldo Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximo Arano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Melquiades Nardo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Teobaldo Gorbea, passed just outside the right post. Palermo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
