With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudio Belo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laguna's Claudio Belo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Laguna from getting a goal against them. Aquilino Chucho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Gaztea in the 42nd minute of play forced Anzulón's goalkeeper Cecilio Figueroa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Severo Goizeder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Belo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Alfonso Harri. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Abar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudio Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Markel in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Laguna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfonso Harri was slow to take the kick. During this time Anzulón's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Genaro Criston managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 66th minute, Antonio Markel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 73 played minutes Anzulón got a freekick which was hit by Marco Gaizkine. 82 minutes into the match, Anzulón's Antonio Markel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Belo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marco Gaizkine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Abar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Figueroa having to interfere.
