Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mateo Esdras started the match with the kick off. Mateo Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bernardino Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 12 minutes, Bernardino Bernard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murquilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardino Bernard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulises Firme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Esdras, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 22 minutes, Victoriano Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Murquilla and the Palmira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulo Cisco charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Cisco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Cisco kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Aurelio Cesaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murquilla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmira FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Murquilla's Aurelio Cesaro got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Palmira FC's Fabricio Firman in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Murquilla's goalie prevented a goal. Ivan Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateo Esdras in the 34th minute of play. Mateo Esdras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ivan Tavio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bernardino Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Dante Emmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ulises Firme came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Palmira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulises Firme couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulises Firme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Palmira FC's Jacobo Goiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Xacintu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th play minute Bernardino Bernard came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ivan Tavio. 1-1. Ulises Firme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Xacintu having to interfere. If Aquilino Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Bermudez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Xacintu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Murquilla's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Uriel Soter was slow to take the kick. During this time Palmira FC's players had a chance to rest. Ulises Firme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alfonso Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Palmira FC's Ulises Firme got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardino Bernard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Tavio having to make a save. Aquilino Bermudez's late challenge caught a Murquilla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Bermudez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Palmira FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Aquilino Bermudez hit a great ball. Ivan Tavio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardino Bernard in the 84th minute. After 85 played minutes Murquilla got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Leoiar. In the 88th minute, Bernardino Bernard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Bermudez in the 95th minute of play forced Murquilla's goalkeeper Alfonso Xacintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
