Teodoro Normando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cesar Ostots fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Normando having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Federico Nalo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naranjo and the Mallín players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Naranjo getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Federico Nalo hit a great ball. Naranjo's Teodoro Normando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Bidari in the 24th minute of play. Cesar Ostots recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gregorio Oinatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Pastor Azubeli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Mallín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zacarias Rosario to maneuver through the defense. Gregorio Oinatz scored 1-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pastor Azubeli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Mallín getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Carlos Tulio hit a great ball. After 49 minutes, Gregorio Oinatz made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mallín's Pastor Azubeli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Higinio Bidari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pastor Azubeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Timo in the 60th minute of the match. Gregorio Oinatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Azubeli having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Timo in the 64th minute of play forced Mallín's goalkeeper Pastor Azubeli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pastor Azubeli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Timo in the 66th minute of play. With a little luck, Naranjo's Teodoro Normando got control of the ball when Cesar Ostots tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute Celso Timo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valentin Enol hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Celso Timo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mallín's Pastor Azubeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorio Oinatz in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Gregorio Oinatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Azubeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mallín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Naranjo the free kick. The supporters of Naranjo booed when Mallín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zacarias Rosario didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Gregorio Oinatz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pastor Azubeli. Mallín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Oinatz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Celso Timo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naranjo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
