After having played for 10 minutes, Filomeno Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lonquimay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filomeno Acevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saverio Veremundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Bihar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saverio Veremundo ran back to his position shaking his head. Filomeno Acevedo took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Francisco Bihar. Francisco Bihar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Jimeno Chorache came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Larsen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Chorache couldn't finish the play. Filomeno Acevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Francisco Bihar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lonquimay's Saverio Veremundo got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Lonquimay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Veremundo to maneuver through the defense. Larsen's Jimeno Chorache got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everardo Sugar to make the kick off. Francisco Bihar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Veremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Jimeno Chorache came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Larsen fans jumped to their feet. Mario Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Chorache, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Mario Herena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Chorache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Galtero missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 91 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Mario Herena right hand side. Chants of Lonquimay echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Larsen had held the ball for most of the match.
